March 16, 2008 - 2008 Vancouver Celtic Festival

Michel Duran and Simon Reiner, along with other Academie Duello members performed at the Celtic festival. The stage performance was a XVI century rapier duel.


January 10, 2008 - Michel Duran joins the Academie Duello Stage and Screen

Starting January 2008, the Academie Duello Stage and Screen, developped by Academie Duello, Braun MacAsh and Michel Duran, is a new fitness and swordplay program targeted to actors and stunts.


June 21, 2007 - A Sea Story - Presented by the Mainland Academy of Performing Arts

Michel Duran, special guest along with the ballet dancers of Ballet de Printemps Kyle Toy, Emma Wright and Hailey Thomas Jenkins in the production of A Sea Story. Michel Duran portrayed the Sea Captain. The production was created and choreographed by artistic director Jelena Bagaric-Mandic.


May 16, 2007 - "The Window" at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner

From May 16th to 26th. Michel Duran attended the 2007 Cannes Film Festival to present the film "The Window" at the Short Film Corner. The Short Film Corner, located in the Palais des Festivals, presents an international programme of short films and organises meets that are open to all the professionals who have registered with the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film.


April 14, 2007 - Baroque music and theatrical fencing

The Pacific Baroque Orchestra presents 17th Century battles, Sorrows and Caprices. Music by an ensemble of PBO musicians and an illustrated performance by fencing master Maître Bac Tau and fencers Pei Pei Chu, Erik Futrell-Frühling, Maja Futrell-Frühling and Michel Duran.


March 9, 2007 - Theatrical Fencing

Starting April 2007, “Théâtre de l’Arbre Perché” will offer ongoing theatrical fencing training by the fencing master Maître Bac (www.fencingmaster.com).


December 12, 2006 - Creation of the "Théâtre de l’Arbre Perché"

Michel Duran, Hélène Bruyère and Nicolas Gateff launched a new Vancouver-based theatre company that will include a permanent ensemble and guest artists. TAP will produce one play per year from the classical repertoire and will provide a training centre for actors.

The Window, a film by Kamal Derkaoui, co-produced by CMHL Enterprises and Aflam Mostafa Derkaoui, was presented at the Vancouver Film Festival.

Michel Duran has been appointed by the film production company Resonating film (www.resonatingfilms.com) as story editor for one of its feature film in development: Standing Up.

March 7, 2006 - March 2006: Haydex Li Joins the M is for Mica Team

Haydex Li, storyboard artist (www.haydexli.ath.cx/haydex/splash.asp), has been appointed to storyboard M as Mica.


February 1, 2006 - Screening of “The Window”

The Window, a film by Kamal Derkaoui, co-produced by CMHL Enterprises and Aflam Mostafa Derkaoui is screened at CBC Vancouver. The film is about a lovelorn young woman and the window that makes her life worth living.


January 15, 2006 - Development of “A l’Ombre du Soleil”

Based on an original screenplay by Michel Duran, CMHL starts the development of this feature film. The film is about a story of love shared between a father and son, the smell of old leather, sweat of work and of training, hopes of an entire town and neighborhood solidarity.


November 25, 2005 - Development of “M as Mica”

Based on an original screenplay by Kamal Derkaoui, CMHL starts the development of this short film. The film is about plastic bags…the moment the wind starts to blow, they fly everywhere. M is for Mica (Mica is the Moroccan name for plastic bag) tells the story of one such discarded bag and its remarkable quest for freedom.


September 25, 2005 - CMHL co-produces “The Window”

CMHL is co-producing “The Window”, a short film by Kamal Derkaoui, with Aflam Mostafa Derkaoui, a Moroccan film production company.


December 13, 2004 - CMHL Enterprises launched in Vancouver.

Michel Duran established CMHL Enterprises in December 2004 in Vancouver, British Columbia, to develop and produce films. Within five years, we will produce character-oriented and period/inspirational feature films.


June 6, 2004 - Shooting of “Ma Femme” in Vancouver

Michel Duran is playing the lead role of the short film “Ma Femme” by Martin Cadotte. The film is about Eric's (Michel Duran) relationship with Natalie, when she tells him that she is pregnant.
