The French Connection
It all began with an post on Craigslist in June 2010. A French feature film called Soufflé au Chocolat was going to be shot in Vancouver, BC and Galiano island and the production company was looking for an actress able to speak Parisian French. Marc Baril, a film music composer reached out with the idea that maybe they'll need eventually music and being from Quebec, he was curious about this endeavour in French.
Fast forward couple of month later, Michel Duran and Fred Goldstein, the two director/producer made a deal with the music composer and Baril was now fully involved in the feature's soundtrack, he will be eventually nominated at the 2013 Leo Awards for best original score for a feature film.
While continuing to work as a composer, the musician developed a passion into a profession and in 2014, Marc de Vinci was officially born with the launch of creative photography endeavours – Fashion, commercial and editorial work.
In July 2017, after their return from Europe where they spent time, Duran on the West coast of France and Baril across Spain during the summer, they started elaborating plans around the concept of shooting images featuring 'silver men, classy in a cool way'.
Since then, they've been shooting for underwear, swimsuits, fashion related projects as well as marketing campaign for high end and luxury products. Their latest concept 'A man in the tub' feature a business man reading his paper in an old cast iron tub. It's funny, cute and as with every photo taken by De Vinci impeccably shot.
